CSV to SQL Converter
Transform CSV data into SQL INSERT queries instantly. 100% Client-Side. Your data is never uploaded.
How it works
Turn your spreadsheets into databases in three simple steps.
Input Data
Paste your comma-separated values or upload a .csv file directly from your computer.
Set Table Name
Type the name of your database table in the top bar. The tool automatically uses the first row as column headers.
Copy or Download
Grab the generated INSERT INTO statements and run them in your SQL database manager. 100% private.
What is a CSV file?
A Comma-Separated Values (CSV) file is a delimited text file that uses a comma to separate values. Each line of the file is a data record. It is the most common format for exporting data from spreadsheets and CRMs.
Why convert CSV locally?
CSV files frequently contain highly sensitive information like customer emails, financial records, passwords, or employee data. File Gulp processes your CSV entirely in your browser using JavaScript, ensuring zero data exposure.
How the SQL generation works
Our client-side parser reads your data intelligently to create valid SQL syntax:
- Headers: The first row of your CSV is treated as the column names for the SQL query.
- Data Types: Text values are wrapped in single quotes while numeric values and
NULLare left unquoted. - Escaping: Single quotes inside text values are escaped automatically to prevent broken SQL syntax.
